Chi is the energy in its manifested form, and Gung is the practical method of application. Therefore, Chi-Gung methods are ways of controlling the flow of energy inside your body, and after a while and a lot of practice, the manifestation of Chi outside of your body.
The most popular form of Chi-Gung in North America and Europe is Tai Chi Chuan. The art of Chi-Gung existed far before the martial artists incorporated it in their fighting style. Buddha's Zen Buddha said: "I consider the positions of kings and rulers as that of dust motes. I observe treasures of gold and gems as so many bricks and pebbles. I look upon the finest silken robes as tattered rags. I see myriad worlds of the universe as small seeds of fruit, and the greatest lake in India as a drop of oil on my foot. I perceive the teachings of the world to be the illusion of magicians. I discern the highest conception of emancipation as a golden brocade in a dream, and view the holy path of the illuminated ones as flowers appearing in one's eyes. I see meditation as a pillar of a mountain, Nirvana as a nightmare of daytime. I look upon the judgment of right and wrong as the serpentine dance of a dragon, and the rise and fall of beliefs as but traces left by the four seasons." |

5 elements of traditional chinese medicine
When the consciousness of God, at the individuality level, wishes to enter in the physical world of existence, he extends himself and downwards towards the magnificent light unto which he also sheds his shadow, condensing around him a soul that will serve him well in his learning process. The soul stretches as deep as it can reach, entering the human body through the head, going down to the perineum, the area at the base of the spine, between the anus and the sexual organs, exactly at the base of the body.
Kept in the base chakra, sleeping for a while, the kundalini is the power of life, it is the experiment of God in human life. The soul expresses itself through many masks, each chakra being one of them. When the power of God, the kundalini, is awakened, it flows upwards, lighting up every chakra with it's magnificent light, revealing God to himself at every level of it's existence.
Kundalini is like a snake, twirled very tight at the base chakra. When awakened, stimulated, it emanates vapors of its flame upwards, making the consciousness levels of each chakra unveil themselves, relieved of the masks of existence and into the true perception of God as a human being. A complete system of energy channels exists in the human body, used to transport the energy and make it useful for human life. Three of these channels are the Ida, Pingala and Sushumna. These three channels are mainly used to work with the kundalini. They start at the base chakra, going up the spine to the top of the head.
With time, more information will be available on our website about Kundalini, the channels of energy of the body and the chakric system. Meanwhile, a lot of good information is available about kundalini and its theory in books and on-line. We encourage you to acquire the basics of this theory so that you can understand and practice the techniques used by the DoJ.
